Employees use proximity badges or fobs to verify their identity with proximity readers. To punch In and Out, employees wave a key fob or badge near the time clock. This device emits a radio frequency to identify them to the time clock. Proximity devices are often used with access control systems, and can also work with time clocks supporting proximity readers.
